Where do I line up?

Symphony of Lights is at Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia. On most nights, the drive through line starts at the intersection of Broken Land Parkway and Hickory Ridge Road. Lines can change quickly on busy nights, so follow the directions of Howard County police when you arrive. Limos, buses and dual axle vehicles aren't allowed.

Can I walk through the lights instead?

Yes, on a handful of special nights the drive through closes and the lights open to walkers. Walk through tickets are 15 dollars per person, and kids 3 and under are free. Here's the schedule posted on the visit page. The site's pages don't all show the same walk through dates, so please confirm on the Symphony of Lights website before you go.

It does. A portion of the proceeds supports Howard County General Hospital, and the show has been a Howard County tradition for more than 25 years. There's even a game for the car: spot the glowing letters along the route and unscramble the secret phrase for a chance to win.
